QuasarSeed builds websites and digital systems for small businesses. This page explains what information we collect through this site, why we collect it, and how you can have it removed. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.
Information you give us
Our contact and intake forms collect what you type into them: typically your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, your business name and website, and details about the project you want built. We ask for this so we can quote the work accurately and prepare for a call. We do not ask for payment card details on this site.
Information collected automatically
We use standard web analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they arrived. This produces aggregate traffic data such as page views, referrers, approximate location by region, and device or browser type. We use it to improve the site, not to build profiles of individual visitors. Your browser may store cookies or similar local storage for analytics and to remember an unfinished intake form on your own device.
How we use it
We use what you submit to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote or proposal, and follow up about the project. If you submit a form, you should expect a reply by email or phone about that enquiry. We may follow up more than once if we do not hear back. We do not add you to a marketing list without your agreement, and every follow-up sequence stops when you ask it to.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of third-party service providers to run this business, and your information may pass through them in the normal course of that work:
- Website and application hosting, which processes requests to this site.
- A database and email provider, which stores form submissions and delivers notifications to us.
- Website analytics, which reports aggregate traffic.
- A customer relationship and scheduling tool, which we use to track enquiries and book calls.
These providers process data on our behalf so we can deliver the service you asked for. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and intake records for as long as we are in contact about the project, and afterwards for our own business records. Client project files are kept for the life of the engagement and a reasonable period after it ends, in case you come back to us. We remove records sooner on request.
Deleting your data
Email us and ask, and we will delete the information we hold about you. We aim to action deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm when it is done. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct something that is wrong. Some records, such as invoices, may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Security
Form submissions are sent over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the people working on your project. No system is perfect, but we keep the number of tools and the number of people with access deliberately small.
